At JoyPlanet Games Limited, we take the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly adhere to global data protection regulations. Personal data is collected only to the extent that is technically necessary and will never be sold or passed on to third parties for any other purpose. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

Our application may automatically collect certain information, including but not limited to the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and the type of mobile Internet browsers you use. This information helps us fine-tune our product. We do not gather any data from children other than their first name and reading age, which is stored locally on the device and is optional. This data never leaves the device and will be erased if the user deletes the app.

DATA RETENTION

We store data on servers in the U.S. or any other country in which the Studio or its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or contractors or service providers maintain facilities. We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide you Services, unless we are required by law to delete or if we accept your request to delete the information pursuant to applicable law. We will also retain and use your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When we no longer require your personal information, we will look to delete, destroy, or anonymize it pursuant to our typical procedures. If this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will apply security measures to your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion or destruction can occur pursuant to our typical procedures. If we anonymize your personal information (so that it can no longer be associated with you), we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Typically, we will retain data within 9 months.

While using our Services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personal data or personal information that can be used to identify you (“Personal Data”, “data” or “information”). We may also collect Personal Data automatically or from third-party partners or services. The Personal Data we collect includes:

Basic Identifiers and Contact Information

We collect some information from you when you provide it to us directly, such as via an email or online form, through the support feature embedded in our Services, or through another form of inquiry. This information may include your name, email, and phone number. If you apply for a job on our website, the information you submit may also include a cover letter and any details included in your resume or curriculum vitae (CV).

Device Information

When you download and use our Services, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use, operating system, resolution, application version, mobile device identifiers (such as your device ID or advertising ID), language, time zone, and IP address.

Usage Information

We collect information automatically about your activity through our Services (Usage Information), such as the date and time you used a service, features you have used, your in-app purchase history, subscriptions, your interaction with advertisements, and data generated when you use our Services (for example, your game progress, which may be stored with your Apple ID on iCloud for iOS Devices or with your Google Play Games profile for Android Devices in some of our Services).

Location

When you download and use our Services, we automatically detect your general location, namely country, and state, through your IP address. We may collect, with your consent if applicable, other location information through your IP address, such as the city you are in.

Media and Other Files

We may ask for access to your camera if you want to use certain features of our Services. If you contact us through our in-app support feature and need to upload any media or files as attachments, we will ask for access to such files.

Information We Obtain from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from our third-party service providers, who collect this information through our Services in accordance with their own privacy policies. A list of the third parties that operate in our Services can be found in Appendix B below.

Information We Obtain When You Connect with Third Parties

In cases where we provide the option and you decide to connect our Services to your account with third parties like Apple or Facebook, we may receive your Apple ID, Facebook user ID, name, and/or email, subject to your permission. Information We Obtain from Facebook

If you use our Services on Facebook or connect our Services to a Facebook account, we may receive any of the information you provide or permit to be provided to us via Facebook. Such information may include your user ID, your use of our game, whom you share our game with on Facebook, and your email address if you opt to provide it or wish to contact us for support. The information we receive depends on the Services you are using, Facebook’s terms of service and privacy policy, your privacy settings, and, if applicable, your friends’ privacy settings. The information we receive from Facebook and other third parties is stored and used by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

User-Generated Content We Obtain from You

We may collect content from posts or uploads on social networks or platforms, or direct contact, subject to your consent if applicable. Such content may include your name, social media username, image, likeness, voice, and other identifiable information available in such user-generated content.

We and our third-party advertising networks and their partners may use cookies and similar technologies, such as mobile SDKs, to provide and personalize our Services.

We do not “sell” information about our users as most people would commonly understand that term or in the way that certain laws primarily define the term “sale.” We do not disclose your personal information in direct exchange for money or some other form of payment.

However, consistent with common practice among companies that operate online, we do “sell” or “share” information in the sense that we allow certain third-party advertising networks and other third-party businesses to collect and disclose your personal information directly from your browser or device through cookies or tracking technologies when you visit or interact with our websites, use our apps, or otherwise engage with us. As described above, we will need to verify your identity before processing your request. In order to verify your identity, we will generally require the matching of sufficient information you provide us to the information we maintain about you in our systems. If you choose to exercise any rights through an authorized agent, you will need to verify your identity directly with us before we can process any requests. In addition, we will need written documentation demonstrating the authorized agent’s authority to act on your behalf.

We aim to respond to a consumer request within 45 days of receiving that request. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. In certain circumstances, we may decline a request, particularly where we are unable to verify your identity or locate your information in our systems. Targeted Advertising and Sale of Personal Data

The VCDPA defines targeted advertising as displaying advertisements to a consumer based on data obtained from the consumer’s activities across different websites or apps. The sale of personal data refers to the exchange of personal data.
